Ana Isabel Quílez Molina
Mi research career
PhD in Materials Engineering (2021) – Università degli Studi di Genova with Instituto Italiano di Tecnologia (Genova, Italy). Postdoctoral researcher at the Institute in Bioeconomy (2021)- University of Valladolid. Margarita Salas Postdoctoral researcher (2022-2024)- University of Valladolid- Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymères Organiques (Bordeaux, France).
My activity
Her research interests are based on the development and characterization of sustainable polymer composites with advanced functional properties (e.g., catalytic, sensors, ultraviolet radiation blockers, antioxidants…) with main application in water cleaning or smart food packaging with low environmental impact. These works include the application of high-tech techniques such as electrospinning, pyrolysis or treatment of waste from the agri-food industry (circular economy). Since 2020, she has collaborated in two industrial projects, published a book chapter and 11 high impact articles, 9 as first author.
