Historical heritage – archaeological heritage

My research career

Degree and PhD in Chemistry from the University of Valladolid. Full Professor of Crystallography and Mineralogy at the University of Valladolid since 2011. His teaching activity has been framed in his work as a professor at the University of Valladolid, at Undergraduate, Master and PhD levels, collaborating sporadically in courses organized by other Universities and by public and private entities. From June 2000 to April 2001 he was scientific responsible for the heritage area of the Laser Technology Center (Boecillo Technological Park, Valladolid), through the Mobility Program for Researchers and Technologists (MIT) of the Ministry of Education and Science.

My activity

Specialized in the structural and dynamic vibrational characterization of crystals, minerals, technological materials and cultural assets of historical and archaeological heritage by means of optical and electron microscopy and infrared and Raman spectroscopy. He started his research work at the Laboratoire de Spectroscopie I Raman (Universite de Sciences et Techniques du Languedoc, Montpellier, France) and at the Centre de Recherches sur la Géologie des Matières Premières Minérales et Energuetiques (CREGU, CNRS77 de Vandoeuvre les Nancy, France). Co-author of more than one hundred articles, 70 of them indexed, 160 Communications to National and International Congresses. Author of more than seventy restricted scientific-technical reports. He has participated in 44 R&D projects financed in public calls of international, national and regional organizations, 9 of them as principal investigator. He has participated in 12 R&D contracts with Companies and Administrations, 8 of them as scientific responsible. He has accredited six sections of Research Activity and one of Knowledge Transfer and Innovation, recognized by the National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity (CNEAI), and eight sections of Teaching Activity recognized by the University of Valladolid.
