Funding Entity:
MCIN/ AEI /10.13039/501100011033/ and by “ERDF A way of doing Europe”.

Principal investigator:

Javier Pinto Sanz
Crystallography and Mineralogy Associate Professor
Objectives:
To develop a new generation of functional foams, in which an engineered combination of a tuned porous structure, chemistry and the appropriate addition of active fillers allowed for efficient and selective removal of hazardous pollutants, such as nitrates or pesticides, from water.
Expected results:
Development of materials capable of removing pollutants such as nitrates and pesticides from water.
