Archeometry – pigments – nanocomposite polymeric materials
Violeta Hurtado García
My research career
Graduate in Physics (2020). Master in Nanoscience and Molecular Nanotechnology by the University of Valladolid (2021-2022). Researcher in traning (2021-2023) – University of Valladolid. PhD student (2023-present).
My activity
Her work has focused, on the one hand, on the archaeometric characterization of archaeological materials. In the Final Degree Project she developed a spectroscopic database (ART, DRIFT) of historical pigments and has participated in other archaeometric works on ceramics, glass and mortars. On the other hand, she is focused on the development of nanocomposite polymeric materials for water desalination and cultural heritage. She has participated in a training course on dating techniques in paleontology given by the Centro Nacional de Investigación en la Evolución Humana (CENIEH), as well as in measurement campaigns of the IPERION program at the AGLAE center in Paris. She has participated in the international congress RAA (International Conference on the Application of Raman Spectroscopy in Art and Archaeology, Athens, 2023).
